Dr. Nang May Thin Nwe, widely known by her professional title Teacher Ivy, is the Founder and Academic Director of Ivy Education Group. A distinguished educator and academic trainer, she co-founded the organization in 2020 with Sayar Aung Htet Khant. Under their leadership, Ivy Education Group has become one of Myanmar’s leading and most-trusted English education providers.
Teacher Ivy’s academic journey is unique, blending a rigorous scientific background with a deep passion for pedagogy. She holds a Bachelor of Dental Medicine (B.D.M.) from the University of Dental Medicine, Mandalay. Her expertise in education is solidified by a robust portfolio of world-class teaching qualifications, including the prestigious Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and the advanced Cambridge DELTA (Module 1) (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
As Academic Director, Dr. Nang May Thin Nwe spearheads all academic innovation, curriculum development, and teacher training initiatives across the Ivy Education Group. She is a recognized authority in the English Language Teaching (ELT) community, particularly for her data-informed approach to instruction.
